La parola “paziente” deriva dal latino “patiens”, participio presente di “pati” = soffrire, sopportare.
Per “paziente” si intende il malato in cura da un medico, ma l’aggettivo “paziente” definisce anche una persona capace di attendere, di non “spazientirsi”, di sopportare la noia, di lavorare in maniera attenta e meticolosa.
