Where Pinocchio wants to grow-up, even though he doesn't know what to do in life. But what is life after all?

Objectives:

In this course, you follow Pinocchio, the famous Italian puppet, while he is searching for a job, meets many renowned Italians* (Dante, Ferrari, Galileo...) and asks them how to find a job and to become rich.
You get to know more and more of Italian culture through authentic material and you learn how to write your resume in Italian, make hypothesis, refine and maintain the language, use the subjunctive and much more!

*The advanced course draws inspiration from famous Italian characters. The dialogues between Pinocchio and the characters have been written with creative license.

Program:

• Lesson 22 - Pinocchio cerca lavoro e ne parla con Dante
  (Pinocchio looks for a job and talks about it with Dante.)
  Learn to write a resume. "Infinito", "gerundio" and "participio"; verbs with prepositions; "diminutivi, peggiorativi".
  Activity: write your resume.

• Lesson 23 - Pinocchio vuole essere un campione e ne parla con Bartali
  (Pinocchio wants to be a sport champion and talks about it with Bartali.)
  Learn to express yourself in a concise and effective way. Verbs with pronouns. Relative pronoun "cui" + the article.
  Activity: sport and cards collection.

• Lesson 24 - Pinocchio vuol fare il manager e ne parla con Ferrari
  (Pinocchio wants to be a manager and talks about it with Ferrari.)
  Learn to express yourself in a concise and effective way. Double object pronouns; verbs with pronouns.
  Activity: taxes in Italy.

• Lesson 25 - Pinocchio vuol fare l'artista e ne parla con Monnalisa
  (Pinocchio wants to be an artist and talks about it with Monnalisa.)
  Learn how to narrate (part 3). "Passato remoto"; "trapassato remoto".
  Activity: history.

• Lesson 26 - Pinocchio vuol fare il pubblicitario e ne parla con Depero
  (Pinocchio wants to work in an advertising agency and talks about it with Depero.)
  Learn to place emphasis in a sentence. Active and passive construction.
  Activity: the Italian language and the dialects.

• Lesson 27 - Pinocchio vuol fare il professore e ne parla con la Montessori
  (Pinocchio wants to be a professor and talks about it with Montessori.)
  Learn to refine your expressions. The subjunctive (part 1).
  Activity: go back to school.

• Lesson 28 - Pinocchio vuol fare lo scienziato e ne parla con Galileo
  (Pinocchio wants to be a scientist and talks about it with Galileo.)
  Learn to maintain the language. The subjunctive (part 2).
  Activity: technology and life.

• Lesson 29 - Pinocchio vuol fare il politico e ne parla con Machiavelli
  (Pinocchio wants to be a politician and talks about it with Machiavelli.)
  Learn to recognize different styles. Make ipothesys: if clauses.
  Activity: write a poem.

• Lesson 30 - Infine, cosa farà Pinocchio nella vita? Ne parla con Totò
  (In the end, what will Pinocchio do in life? He talks about it with Totò.)
  Learn to report a conversation. Learn to maintain the practice of the language. Direct/indirect construction.
  Activity: conclusion.
