L'etimologia della parola "stella" è un po' misteriosa, legata al greco antico "sider" (= ferro) o "a-ster, astron", al latino "sidus, sideris" ma anche "asterla" (poi per contrazione diventata "stella" in italiano e "star" in inglese).
Un famoso detto latino dice "per aspera ad astra" = attraverso le difficoltà arriviamo alle stelle, al successo.

The etymology of the word "star" is a bit 'mysterious, linked to the ancient Greek "sider" (= iron) or "a-ster, astron", to the Latin "sidus, sideris" but also "asterla" (then to become by contraction "stella" in Italian and "star" in English).
A famous Latin proverb says "per aspera ad astra" (= we get to the stars and to success through difficulties).
