Le parole a volte hanno più di un significato e quindi per tradurre dobbiamo scegliere il significato più appropriato. A volte il significato cambia perché la parola viene usata in espressioni idiomatiche o in combinazione con altre parole. Quindi quando usiamo il dizionario, non fermiamoci mai alla prima traduzione di una parola. Controlliamo se una parola ha diversi significati o se è usata in combinazione con altre parole e poi scegliamo la traduzione più appropriata per quello che vogliamo dire. Attenzione ai traduttori automatici! Molto spesso i traduttori automatici fanno errori buffi perché non riescono a riconoscere il contesto in cui una parola viene usata.
